Bennettsville Intermediate School’s Book Tasting Night

November 29th, 2018

Excitement filled the air at Bennettsville Intermediate School on Thursday (Nov. 29th ) as families gathered for a night of delicious books as BIS teachers shared some of their favorites with families. Over 30 parents along with a multitude of students indulged in delightful read-alouds and tasty treats that included menu options ranging from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (meatballs as the treat) to Thunder Cake  (mini cakes served) to The Way the Cookie Crumbled (cookies served). A recording of our Music students played over the intercom as guests traveled to their selected delicacies.  Our night of enjoyment ended with sweet treats of hot cocoa and marshmallows as Ms. Hewett read aloud, Winter in the Warmest Season by Lauren Stringer. This literary experience serves as a catalyst for the upcoming season of sharing and families coming together at BIS.
